Check the Newfoundland and Labrador Disability Benefit and Income Support separately. The provincial disability benefit is income-tested and may pay up to the current monthly maximum to Newfoundland and Labrador residents aged 18 to 64 who have a valid federal Disability Tax Credit certificate.
There is no separate application for the monthly Newfoundland and Labrador Disability Benefit. The provincial government determines eligibility using tax information. The person and their spouse or partner, if applicable, must file income tax returns. Income Support uses a separate financial assessment. Approval for either program does not guarantee the other.
Do not send tax, banking, or Disability Tax Credit information through this website.
