Western Newfoundland residents who must travel for insured medical care may qualify for the Medical Transportation Assistance Program. Income Support clients, some Community Support clients and some low-income residents may instead qualify for Medical Transportation Supports. Check the correct program before booking, ask whether prior approval or an escort note is required, and keep attendance confirmation, itineraries and required receipts.
